Grab a friend or family member and go through these questions to help you go deeper.
- Discuss ways that people, including yourself, put up walls that keep God and others out? What are some graceful ways to tear down those walls?
- Think about your past. Discuss some ways in which you have been neighbored by others. How did it impact your life?
- What is it that may keep you from neighboring? Is it time, fear, lack of confidence? What can you do that will practically move you beyond this barrier?
Take Home Question.
Think about your neighbors. It may be the people living in the homes next to you, it may be co-workers that have a desk next to you, or it may be the people inside your own home. This week name just one neighbor. What do you know about their lives? What is taking place in their lives spiritually, physically, relationally, emotionally, or financially. Begin listing the ways you or your family can begin to “neighbor” that person or family.
